Speaker: Scott K. Lunine, Executive Vice President, T.R. Winston & Company

 Scott Lunine serves as Executive Vice President/Managing Director for T.R. Winston & Company, a New Jersey based full service financial services company. Lunine’s primary focus has been building a national sales organization specializing in the marketing and sales of real estate investment products, including REITS, vulture funds, TICs/DSTs, joint ventures and private equity.  In his tenure he has opened offices in Miami, San Francisco, Orange County, Washington DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles. In adverse economic conditions he has increased sales by 32.6%. Prior to joining T.R. Winston and Company, Lunine was Managing Director of SCI Real Estate Investments. At SCI he established 23 offices throughout the United States and developed one of the top performing sales teams in the nation with annual sales in excess of $700 million. Prior to joining SCI, Lunine spent eight years as Sr. Vice President/Managing Director for Sperry Van Ness one of the largest investment real estate companies in the United States. In his tenure he successfully closed commercial real estate transactions valued at over $3.9 billion. In 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 he was recognized for having one of the top performing offices in all of Sperry Van Ness. He earned the Sperry Van Ness’ “Best Year” Award five times. In addition to his brokerage activities Lunine also served as National Director of Retail Investments, where he oversaw retail investment teams across the United States. Comprised of over 250 agents the team’s specialties included power centers & regional malls, single-tenant, ground leases, strip centers, neighborhood, community, as well as specialty and entertainment-oriented retail centers.
 
An expert in both tangible and intangible sales, as well as vertical and horizontal market positioning, he is frequently recognized for his expertise and analysis. Lunine is a lecturer at the Graziadio Graduate School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, as well as the CCIPS Institute. He conducts more than 50 presentations and appearances nationally each year, including UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, the Ohio Multifamily Association, RealShare Conference Series, International Real Estate Conference Group, University of Alabama School of Business, Midwest Real Estate Conference Group, ICSC, RIAOC, Colliers International, Sperry Van Ness, NAI Capital, Remax and numerous others. He has trained and mentored well over 5000 real estate professionals.
 
Lunine has written numerous articles for industry publications and is often quoted in Shopping Centers Today, Multi Family Executive, Globe Street, Multifamily News, California Real Estate Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Business Press and Commercial Property News. Having studied Organizational Communication at Cal State University, Northridge Lunine was highly recognized for his communications skills. In 1980 he was the Collegiate National Debate Champion, selected to the United States International debate team in 1981, and was awarded the prestigious Arthur Ross Scholarship.
